New R&D Funding Opportunity to Upscale Circular Economy Practice in Cities

CircularPSP, a consortium of eight leading Circular Economy cities in Europe, has announced a Call for Tender with €5.64 million dedicated to developing circular economy solutions. The consortium looks to enhance the application of circular practices more effectively across municipalities and local businesses, thereby contributing to the broader aim of a sustainable transition. Scheduled deadlines include a bid submission cut-off of 1st April 2024 along with informational webinars slated for early next year on various topics ranging from technical to financial application training. CircularPSP invites suppliers to develop an innovative Circular Economy solution that enables municipalities and their staff as well as businesses in the local economy to apply circular practice more quickly, frequently, widely, and effectively.  The Call for Tender is now public. Are you our next supplier?

 

In a groundbreaking initiative, CircularPSP, a consortium comprising eight leading Circular Economy (CE) cities, is investing €5.64 million in Research and Development (R&D). This collaborative effort aims to address the common challenge of accelerating the transition towards a Circular Economy. The participating procurers hail from influential European capitals, including Berlin, Helsinki, London, and Istanbul, reflecting a commitment to driving global change.

 

The deadline for potential suppliers to submit a bid is the 1st of April 2024 with webinars early next year to help you create a bid:

 

 

The envisaged solution is relevant for all European authorities including cities, ministries, agencies, and housing. Activity triggered by the solution will increase the volume of circular procurement and widen commercialisation opportunities for green digital companies and result in EU leadership in Circular Economy. With interoperability at the core and innovative tools for data sharing and open standards, the solution will provide a use case for the upcoming Common Industrial and Green Deal European Data.  As such, CircularPSP Follower Network has attracted important national players in Finland, Ireland and Slovenia. Actual ministries responsible for cities and regions have been awaiting the release.
