After three years of collaboration, innovation and practical work with Europe’s food processing sector, the EENOVA project is coming to its conclusion. To celebrate its achievements, the consortium invites policymakers, industry representatives, researchers and energy experts to The Taste of Energy Efficiency, the project’s public final event, taking place on 7 October 2026 in Brussels.
Registration is now open. Reserve your place today and join us in Brussels to discover the EENOVA Methodology, explore the project’s results and connect with experts shaping the future of industrial energy efficiency across Europe.
Organised by EEIP, the project’s Communication and Dissemination Lead, the event will showcase the achievements of EENOVA and officially introduce the EENOVA Methodology, an innovative approach that helps improve energy efficiency through collaboration across regional food value chains rather than focusing on individual companies alone.
A New Approach to Energy Efficiency
Improving energy efficiency remains one of the fastest and most cost-effective ways to strengthen Europe’s competitiveness while reducing emissions. Yet many businesses, particularly SMEs in the food processing sector, still face significant barriers when trying to identify and implement energy-saving measures.
Throughout the project, EENOVA has explored how cooperation between companies, industry associations, public authorities and regional stakeholders can unlock opportunities that individual businesses often cannot achieve alone.
Working across five European pilot regions, the consortium has developed, tested and validated the EENOVA Methodology, demonstrating how coordinated action at regional level can accelerate energy efficiency improvements throughout entire food value chains.
The final event offers the first opportunity to discover this methodology and learn how it can support future industrial decarbonisation initiatives across Europe.

Discover the Results of Three Years of Collaboration
Participants will gain first-hand insight into the project’s journey, from its initial concept to the practical implementation of pilot activities across Europe.
The programme will present the project’s key achievements, lessons learned and policy recommendations, alongside discussions on the future of collaborative energy efficiency initiatives.
Experts from the consortium and invited speakers will explore topics including:
- The official launch of the EENOVA Methodology
- Lessons learned from five regional pilot areas
- Practical barriers and opportunities for improving energy efficiency
- Regional collaboration as a driver of industrial competitiveness
- Policy recommendations for accelerating energy efficiency across Europe’s food sector
- Opportunities for future cooperation and replication
The event also provides valuable networking opportunities with professionals working across industry, research, policymaking and European innovation projects.
Bringing Europe’s Energy Efficiency Community Together
As Communication and Dissemination Lead of the EENOVA project, EEIP is organising the final event and bringing together the diverse community that has supported the project throughout its lifetime.
The event aims not only to present the project’s results but also to encourage discussion on how collaborative approaches can continue supporting Europe’s clean energy transition long after the project concludes.
Whether you represent industry, academia, public authorities or another EU-funded initiative, the event offers practical insights, valuable exchanges and new opportunities to connect with organisations working to improve industrial energy efficiency.
