EEIP has unveiled its AI policy, crafted to ensure transparency, ethical usage, reliable content, data protection, and continuous improvement in AI applications within the energy sector. The policy features five core principles, aligns with EU AI policy recommendations, and emphasizes EEIP’s commitment to responsible AI practices. The principles include transparency in AI processes, upholding ethical standards, rigorous fact-checking for reliability, protection of sensitive data, and fostering a culture of continual learning and updating knowledge. EEIP's AI policy reflects its dedication to leveraging AI in driving the energy transition, with a focus on developing innovative solutions that are environmentally positive and socially responsible. This policy will govern EEIP's AI-related activities, including content creation, solution development, and project engagements like CircularPSP and DMaaST. These projects aim to enhance circular economy practices and manufacturing ecosystem resilience, adhering to regulations such as the AI Act. EEIP's AI policy represents a step towards a future where AI is used transparently, ethically, and beneficially within the industry, inviting stakeholders to review and engage with its AI policy framework.
